wagl is new.

We have no archive to point to, no century of tradition, no story of a workshop in a village. We are a house of curation, founded by Joseph Gahagan, for the objects of a dog's life.

The idea is simple. A dog lives closely with very few things. A collar, worn every day. A lead, held twice a day for years. A bed, where half of every day is spent. A bowl. Something for the journey. These are among the most handled objects in a home, and they are often the least considered.

We think they deserve the same care as anything else you choose to live with.

what we do

We look for pieces made well. Leather that is left whole. Stitching that holds. Metal with weight. Textiles that soften rather than wear. Forms that sit quietly in a room.

We choose a small number of things and stand behind each of them. We would rather show you fewer pieces, chosen with care, than everything available.

how we choose

We ask makers plain questions. Where the material comes from. How it is finished. How it will age. How it should be cared for. When we know the answers, we share them. When we do not, we say so.

We write about materials and care in our journal, with sources, so that you can judge for yourself.

what we are not

We are independent. We are not affiliated with any fashion house, designer or brand, and where we mention one, it is only to describe.

what comes next

wagl opens in November 2026. We are beginning small, on purpose.

If you have a question, a request, or a dog with particular needs, write to us at hello@wagl.com. A person will answer.
